Author's Note: As we continue to read Jekyll and Hyde, the story interest level is through the roof. Chapter 7 was the most interesting so far. Near the end of the chapter Utterson and Einfield are talking with Jekyll. When within seconds Jekyll noticed something outside and shut the window and went into his house. I felt that he ran away because when he can’t the sun he turns into Hyde. This inspired to write a poem about night and day.
Night and Day
Daytime illuminates hope to the world
Nighttime is as evil as the underworld
Daytime allows humans to see
Nighttime builds mystery don’t we all agree
Daytime means warmth will fill your soul
Nighttime creates all night rock n’ roll
Daytime means brightness allowing children to play
Nighttime means darkness and children dismay
Daytime produces confidence and security
Nightime produces fear and insecurity
Daytime generates money from all directions
Nightime equals people have thought provoking reflections
Daytime displays awesomeness
Nighttime exhibits creepiness
Through all these words you may just think
Who cares about this lets go and drink
But look carefully at the concrete meaning
And you may just feel like intervening
